How it works

  • Enroll online

Get started by filling out the online enrollment application to find out if you are eligible for assistance.

  • Pre-qualification

NiceRx verifies your eligibility for medication assistance and notifies you if you are pre-qualified. The pharmaceutical company provides your medication for free, and you only pay our service fee.

  • Submit documents

We will request documents to be submitted by you and your healthcare provider that are required by the pharmaceutical company to complete your enrollment.

  • Receive medication

Once approved, the pharmaceutical company typically ships a 90-day supply of medication to your home or healthcare provider’s address. Final acceptance is determined by the pharmaceutical company.

What is Aczone Gel?

Acne is a skin condition that affects all people at some point in their lives, most often during their teenage years. Symptoms normally improve as you get older. Acne occurs when the hair follicles under your skin become blocked with oil and dead skin cells, causing spots, greasy skin, and skin that can feel hot and tender. The areas of the body most commonly affected are the face, back, and chest.

Aczone is a topical gel medication used to help treat the symptoms of acne. It can be used alone or in combination with other medications. A small pea-sized amount of the gel should be applied directly to the skin area affected by the acne.

Aczone Gel active ingredients

Aczone Gel contains the prescription medicine dapsone. The mechanism of action of dapsone gel in treating acne is not fully understood, but we do know that dapsone kills the bacteria that causes acne, and helps to keep your skin pores clean.

Apply a thin layer of the gel to your skin after cleaning and drying the area. Gently rub the gel into your skin once daily. If your symptoms do not improve in 12 weeks speak to your doctor. Aczone may cause a serious condition in which the amount of oxygen in your bloodstream becomes dangerously low. If you notice your lips, fingernails, or the inside of your mouth turning blue, stop treatment and see your doctor immediately.
