Am I eligible for Arazlo patient assistance?

We review each Arazlo enrollment application individually to determine if you are eligible. Each assistance program has its own eligibility criteria and the factors considered by most programs are:

  • I am a permanent, legal resident of the United States or Puerto Rico
  • I am uninsured or my insurance doesn’t cover my medication
  • I meet certain income eligibility requirements

How do I apply for the Arazlo patient assistance program?

Our process makes it as easy as possible to apply for the Arazlo patient assistance program. Begin by completing the enrollment application form on our website. Tell us about any medications that you are taking, including Arazlo, your healthcare provider, your insurance plan, and your household income. This information is required by the pharmaceutical manufacturers who will supply the medication, so it is important to make sure this information is accurate and up to date.

We will review the information that you have provided to determine whether you are eligible for patient assistance. If we can pre-qualify you for assistance, NiceRx will handle the full enrollment process on your behalf. If you are approved by the pharmaceutical company, you will typically start receiving your medication in 6 – 8 weeks.

What is Arazlo?

Arazlo is an FDA (U.S. Food and Drug Administration) approved medication manufactured by Ortho Dermatologics, part of the Bausch Health Companies Inc.

Arazlo is a retinoid (a compound similar to vitamin A) indicated for the topical treatment of acne vulgaris in patients 9 years of age and older. When used for the treatment of acne vulgaris, tazarotene produces a reduction in both inflammatory and noninflammatory lesions.

The Fabior and Tazorac brands of tazarotene topical are used to treat acne vulgaris in adults and adolescents who are at least 12 years old. Tazorac is also used for the treatment of plaque psoriasis in adults.

What doses of Arazlo are available?

Arazlo is available as a lotion formulation, in the following doses: 0.045%.

Apply a thin layer of Arazlo to the affected areas once daily in the evening or at bedtime. Avoid the eyes, mouth, and mucous membranes. For the best effect, Arazlo should be used with a total skin care program.

Do not use Arazlo on open wounds, areas of eczema, sunburned, windburned, dry, chapped, or irritated skin. If you get this medicine in your eyes, nose, mouth, rectum, or vagina, rinse with water. Also, avoid applying to unaffected areas. If medication accidentally gets on areas that do not need treatment, wash it off.

Your skin may become more sensitive to weather such as cold and wind during treatment. Protect your skin with clothing, and use a moisturizing cream or lotion as needed. Use sunscreen products and protective clothing over treated areas when sun exposure cannot be avoided. Women should start using this medication during a menstrual period.

Please read the patient information leaflet and always speak with a healthcare professional for medical advice, or about any changes to your dose so they can monitor and evaluate your condition.
