What is Bimzelx?
Bimzelx is being developed in Belgium by the pharmaceutical company UCB Pharma Ltd, where Phase III trials show that Bimzelx improves skin clearance compared with treatment with placebo or other biologics such as adalimumab, ustekinumab, and secukinumab.
The European Commission (EC) has approved UCB’s Bimzelx (bimekizumab) in the European Union for the treatment of adult patients with moderate to severe plaque psoriasis (PSO) who are candidates for systemic therapy or phototherapy. Bimzelx also shows improvement in psoriatic arthritis.
What doses of Bimzelx are available?
Bimzelx is available as a solution for injection in a pre-filled syringe or pre-filled pen containing 160 mg of bimekizumab in 1 mL
