What is Camcevi?

Camcevi is an FDA (U.S. Food and Drug Administration) approved medication manufactured by Foresee Pharmaceuticals Co., Ltd/Accord BioPharma. It is a gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH) agonist indicated for the treatment of advanced prostate cancer in adult patients.

New drug FDA approval of Camcevi was based on an open-label, single-arm phase 3 trial. Serum testosterone suppression was defined as an average concentration level at or below 50 ng/dL. Almost 100% of patients achieved the primary endpoint, with an average testosterone concentration level below castrate levels to 17.6 ng/dL on day 28.

What doses of Camcevi are available?

Camcevi is available as an Injectable emulsion depot formulation, for subcutaneous injection in the following doses: 42 mg.

Camcevi active ingredients

Camcevi contains leuprolide mesylate, a GnRH agonist that acts as an inhibitor of gonadotropin secretion, as the active ingredient.

• Hypertension
• Injection site reactions
• Upper respiratory tract infections

You should not use Camcevi if you:

• Are allergic to the active ingredient leuprolide mesylate
