What is Camcevi?
Camcevi is an FDA (U.S. Food and Drug Administration) approved medication manufactured by Foresee Pharmaceuticals Co., Ltd/Accord BioPharma. It is a gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH) agonist indicated for the treatment of advanced prostate cancer in adult patients.
New drug FDA approval of Camcevi was based on an open-label, single-arm phase 3 trial. Serum testosterone suppression was defined as an average concentration level at or below 50 ng/dL. Almost 100% of patients achieved the primary endpoint, with an average testosterone concentration level below castrate levels to 17.6 ng/dL on day 28.
What doses of Camcevi are available?
Camcevi is available as an Injectable emulsion depot formulation, for subcutaneous injection in the following doses: 42 mg.
The recommended dose is 42 mg subcutaneously every 6 months. Please see the full prescribing information for the instructions on use and the preparation and administration of the injectable emulsion in a pre-filled syringe.

Camcevi active ingredients
Camcevi contains leuprolide mesylate, a GnRH agonist that acts as an inhibitor of gonadotropin secretion, as the active ingredient.
Camcevi side effects
The most common adverse reactions of Camcevi during follow up in clinical trials include:
- Hot flush
- Injection site reactions
- Upper respiratory tract infections
- Musculoskeletal pain and tiredness
In rare instances, Camcevi can cause more serious side effects. These can include:
- Transient worsening of bone pain, urethral obstruction, spinal cord compression, or additional signs and symptoms of prostate cancer
- Hyperglycemia and diabetes
- Cardiovascular diseases – increased risk of myocardial infarction, sudden cardiac death, and stroke
- QT/QTc prolongation – Androgen deprivation therapy may prolong the QT interval
- Embryo-fetal toxicity

Camcevi drug interactions
Other drugs may interact with Camcevi, including prescription drugs and over-the-counter medicines, vitamins, and herbal products. Tell your health care provider about all of your medication including any supplements you are taking.
You should not use Camcevi if you:
- Are allergic to the active ingredient leuprolide mesylate
- Have known hypersensitivity to GnRH, GnRH agonist analogs, or any of the other ingredients of Camcevi
- Are pregnant or are planning to become pregnant
Talk to your doctor before using Camcevi if you:
- Are taking any of the medications that could interact with Camcevi
- Are breastfeeding or are planning to breastfeed
Camcevi is the trademark brand name for leuprolide mesylate manufactured by Foresee Pharmaceuticals Co., Ltd/Accord BioPharma. A generic version of leuprolide mesylate is not available. Generic drugs are generally cheaper than brand-name drugs, but you can still find Camcevi savings through NiceRx.

To receive a refund, you must send the letter of denial to us by fax to 888-517-7444, or by e-mail to [email protected] within 30 days of your receipt of such letter. The Refund is your sole and exclusive remedy for any fees you may wish to dispute.
