What is Cosmegen?

Cosmegen is an FDA (U.S. Food and Drug Administration) approved medication manufactured by Recordati Rare Diseases Inc. Cosmegen is used to treat different types of cancers that affect the kidneys, uterus, testicles, bones, muscles, joints, and soft tissues.

It is classed as an actinomycin for the treatment of :

• Adult and pediatric patients with Wilms tumor, childhood rhabdomyosarcoma, Ewing sarcoma, or metastatic, nonseminomatous testicular cancer, as part of a multi-phase, combination chemotherapy regimen
• Post-menarchal patients with gestational trophoblastic neoplasia, as a single agent or as part of a combination chemotherapy regimen
• Adult patients with locally recurrent or locoregional solid malignancies, as part of palliative or adjunctive regional perfusion

What doses of Cosmegen are available?

Cosmegen is available in injection form, in the following doses: 500 mcg lyophilized powder in a single-dose vial.

Cosmegen is for intravenous use. Your recommended dose of Cosmegen is based on the condition you are being treated for, other medication you may be taking, and your body weight.

Cosmegen active ingredients
