Once approved, the pharmaceutical company typically ships a 90-day supply of medication to your home or healthcare provider’s address.

If you are eligible for the Galzin patient assistance program, the cost of your medication will be free. We only charge $49 per month for each medication, to cover our service fees. You could receive your Galzin prescription for just $49 a month, regardless of the retail price of your medication.

What is Galzin?
Galzin (generic name, zinc acetate) is an FDA (U.S. Food and Drug Administration) approved medication manufactured by Teva Pharmaceuticals USA, Inc. Zinc acetate therapy is indicated for maintenance treatment of patients with Wilson’s disease who have been initially treated with a chelating agent
What doses of Galzin are available?
Galzin is available in capsule form, in the following doses: 25 mg zinc acetate capsules.
Take Galzin on an empty stomach, at least 1 hour before or 2 to 3 hours after a meal. Swallow the capsule whole, do not crush, chew, break, or open it. If you miss a dose take the medicine as soon as you can, but skip the missed dose if it is almost time for your next dose. Store Galzin capsules at room temperature away from moisture, heat, and light.

Galzin drug interactions

You should not use Galzin if you:
- Are allergic to the active ingredient zinc acetate
- Have had an allergic reaction to any of the other ingredients in Galzin
- Have kidney disease
- Have any conditions that make it hard for your body to absorb nutrients from food
- Are younger than 10 years of age
- Are breastfeeding or are planning to breastfeed – Zinc appears in breast milk
Talk to your doctor before using Galzin if you:
- Are taking any of the medications that could interact with Galzin
- Are pregnant or are planning to become pregnant
Galzin is the trademark brand name for zinc acetate manufactured by Teva Pharmaceuticals USA, Inc. A generic version of zinc acetate is not available. Generic drugs are generally cheaper than brand-name drugs, but you can still find Galzin savings through NiceRx.

However, our monthly flat rate of just $49 per medication spares you the hassle of tracking the different programs and filling out all the required paperwork for each program. **If you do not receive medications because you were determined to be ineligible for the prescription assistance by the applicable pharmaceutical companies and you have a letter of denial, we will refund any fees you paid toward medications for which you did not qualify to receive prescription assistance (“Refund”).
To receive a refund, you must send the letter of denial to us by fax to 888-517-7444, or by e-mail to [email protected] within 30 days of your receipt of such letter. The Refund is your sole and exclusive remedy for any fees you may wish to dispute.
