  • Pre-qualification

NiceRx verifies your eligibility for medication assistance and notifies you if you are qualified. The pharmaceutical company provides your medication for free and you only pay our service fee.

  • Submit documents

We will request documents to be submitted by you and your healthcare provider that are required by the pharmaceutical company to complete your enrollment.

  • Receive medication

Once approved, the pharmaceutical company typically ships a 90-day supply of medication to your home or healthcare provider’s address.

What is Lamira?

Lamira is a medical device manufactured by PARI Pharma GmbH a company focused on advanced aerosol delivery systems based on eFlow Technology. Lamira is the first drug-specific eFlow Technology nebulizer registered beyond Europe and North America.

The Lamira Nebulizer System is used for the administration of Arikayce (amikacin liposome inhalation suspension) a registered trademark of Insmed Incorporated eFlow. Lamira is a new treatment option with a customized medication reservoir to hold a full 8.4 ml dose, a specifically tailored aerosol head for the aerosolization of Arikayce, and the valved aerosol chamber.

EFlow technology is an aerosol delivery platform that enables efficient nebulization of liquid medications via a vibrating, perforated membrane. eFlow Technology devices are designed to reduce the burden of treatment for patients with severe respiratory conditions.

Arikayce is FDA-approved in the United States as Arikayce (amikacin liposome inhalation suspension), in the EU as Arikayce Liposomal 590 mg nebuliser dispersion, and in Japan as Arikayce Inhalation 590 mg (amikacin sulfate inhalation drug product). Arikayce is a once-daily formulation of amikacin. Arikayce is administered once daily using exclusively the Lamira Nebulizer System.

Arikayce is the first inhaled liposomal dispersion and the first and only therapy in Japan indicated for the treatment of patients with nontuberculous mycobacterial (NTM) lung disease caused by Mycobacterium avium complex (MAC) who did not sufficiently respond to prior treatment with a multidrug regimen. Arikayce is the first drug with authorisation to be used with the Lamira Nebuliser system specifically for the treatment of patients in Japan with refractory MAC lung disease.
