What is Luxiq?

Luxiq (betamethasone valerate foam) is an FDA (U.S. Food and Drug Administration) approved medication manufactured by Prestium Pharma. Luxíq foam is a topical corticosteroid (steroid) used for the treatment of inflammation and itching caused by skin conditions such as eczema or psoriasis.

What doses of Luxiq are available?

Luxiq is available as an aerosol foam, in the following doses: 1.2mg in 1g.

Invert the can and dispense a small amount of Luxíq onto a cool surface. Do not dispense onto your hands directly as the foam will begin to melt upon contact with warm skin. Pick up small amounts of foam with your fingers and massage gently into the affected area until the foam disappears. Do not apply Luxiq over a large area of skin. Apply in the morning and at night.

Do not cover the treated skin area with an occlusive dressing. Covering the treated areas can increase the amount of medicine absorbed through your skin and cause side effects. If you miss a dose, apply Luxiq as soon as you can, but skip the missed dose if it is almost time for your next dose.

Store Luxiq at room temperature away from moisture and heat. Luxiq is flammable. Do not use near an open flame, and do not smoke until the foam has dried on your skin.

Please read the drug information provided and always speak with a healthcare professional for medical advice about any changes to your dose so they can monitor and evaluate your condition.
