Am I eligible for the Pregnyl patient assistance program?

To find out if you are eligible for Pregnyl assistance you can apply online using our enrollment application. Each pharmaceutical company sets its eligibility criteria, and we will review your application individually to determine if you may be eligible. The three main factors to consider are:

  • I am a permanent, legal resident of the United States or Puerto Rico
  • I am uninsured or my insurance doesn’t cover my medication
  • I meet certain income eligibility requirements

How do I apply for the Pregnyl patient assistance program?

Our application process aims to make it as easy as possible to apply for the Pregnyl patient assistance program. The first step is to complete our online enrollment application. We will ask you for details about your healthcare provider, your insurance plan, and your household income as this information is required by the pharmaceutical companies. We may be able to help you apply for other patient assistance programs too, so be sure to tell us about any medications you are taking as well as Pregnyl.

NiceRx will review your application and determine whether you may be eligible for Pregnyl assistance. If so, we will handle the full enrollment process for you and prepare all required documents for your healthcare provider to sign. Once you are successfully enrolled in the Pregnyl patient assistance program, we will help you manage your prescription refills by requesting refills on your behalf throughout your enrollment period. At the end of your enrollment period, we will contact you for updated information and seek to re-enroll you so you can continue to access affordable Pregnyl.

What is Pregnyl?

Pregnyl (human chorionic gonadotropin (HCG)) is an FDA (U.S. Food and Drug Administration) approved medication manufactured by Schering-Plough. Pregnyl is an HCG product containing a polypeptide hormone made up of alpha and beta units produced by the human placenta. The alpha sub-unit is the same as the alpha subunits of the human pituitary gonadotropins, luteinizing hormone, and follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH), as well as to the alpha subunit of human thyroid-stimulating hormone. Pregnyl is used for:

  • The induction of ovulation and to treat infertility in women. It is not recommended in women with primary ovarian failure
  • The treatment of men with hypogonadism, where the body doesn’t produce enough testosterone
  • The treatment of young boys aged 4 to 9 years old, whose testicles have not dropped into the scrotum as they normally would

HCG is not recommended as a treatment for weight loss and as such, has not been shown to be more effective than a reduction in calories in the diet.

What doses of Pregnyl are available?

Pregnyl is available in injection form, in the following doses: 10000 in 10mL.

HCG is given as an intramuscular injection or injected subcutaneously. Unmixed HCG and diluent should be stored at room temperature. Mixed medicine should be stored in the refrigerator. Use mixed Pregnyl within 60 days.

Always speak with a healthcare professional for medical advice about any changes to your dose so they can monitor and evaluate your condition.

Pregnyl active ingredients

Pregnyl contains human chorionic gonadotropin as the active ingredient.
