What is Retin-A micro pump?

Retin-A micro gel pump is an FDA (U.S. Food and Drug Administration) approved medication manufactured by Valeant Pharmaceuticals North America LLC. Retin-A Micro (tretinoin) Gel microsphere is a retinoid, used for the topical treatment of acne vulgaris. It may help to decrease the number and severity of acne pimples and promote the healing of pimples that do occur.

What doses of Retin-A micro pump are available?

Retin-A micro pump is available as a gel, in the following doses: 0.04%, 0.08%, and 0.1%.

Apply a thin layer of Retin-A Micro once daily, before bedtime, to the affected area. It is not for oral, ophthalmic, or intravaginal use. Do not use other skin products that are irritating, or drying on the treated area. These include hair perming solutions, alcohol, menthol-containing products (such as toners, or shaving lotion), medicated soaps or cleansers, cosmetics with a drying effect, and products containing sulfur, resorcinol, or salicylic acid.

Avoid exposure to sunlight including sunlamps, due to the potential for increased photosensitization. Use sunscreen and protective clothing. Do not use Retin-A Micro with weather extremes, such as wind or cold due to the potential for increased irritation.
