How it works

  • Enroll online

Get started by filling out the online enrollment application to find out if you are eligible for assistance.

  • Pre-qualification

NiceRx verifies your eligibility for medication assistance and notifies you if you are pre-qualified. The pharmaceutical company provides your medication for free, and you only pay our service fee.

  • Submit documents

We will request documents to be submitted by you and your healthcare provider that are required by the pharmaceutical company to complete your enrollment.

  • Receive medication

Once approved, the pharmaceutical company typically ships a 90-day supply of medication to your home or healthcare provider’s address. Final acceptance is determined by the pharmaceutical company.

If you are eligible for the Tezspire patient assistance program you can receive your medication for free. Am I eligible for the Tezspire patient assistance program?

You could receive your Tezspire without paying the full retail price if you meet the eligibility criteria for assistance. The eligibility requirements are set by the pharmaceutical companies that are providing assistance programs. At NiceRx, we review each application individually, although the main factors considered by most programs are:

  • I am a permanent, legal resident of the United States or Puerto Rico
  • I am uninsured or my insurance doesn’t cover my medication
  • I meet certain income eligibility requirements

How do I apply for Tezspire patient assistance?

We do everything that we can to take the hassle and stress out of applying for patient assistance programs. Simply start by filling in our enrollment application. We will ask for details about your healthcare provider, your insurance, and your household income. This information is required by the pharmaceutical companies you are applying to for assistance. We may also be able to help you access patient assistance for other medications that you have been prescribed, so be sure to tell us about any medications you are taking as well as Tezspire.

NiceRx will review the information you have provided, and if we determine that you may be eligible for assistance, we will seek to enroll you in the Tezspire patient assistance program. We will handle the enrollment process for you by working with your healthcare provider and preparing all the required paperwork for your doctor to sign. We will also request your Tezspire medication refills on your behalf for up to 1 year once you are enrolled in the program.

Is NiceRx a Tezspire coupon provider?

At NiceRx, we help eligible individuals access the Tezspire patient assistance program. This means that we are not a Tezspire coupon, a Tezspire discount card, or a Tezspire copay card provider. We do not offer any medication trial offers or free Tezspire samples.

Can NiceRx help me get Tezspire cheaper if I have insurance?

We may be able to help you if you have insurance, including if your insurance company will not pay for your Tezspire medication, or if you have a high copay or coinsurance responsibility. We may even be able to assist if you do not have insurance. Please fill in our enrollment application to find out more.

What is Tezspire?

Tezspire is manufactured by Amgen Inc. and AstraZeneca. Tezspire is a biologic that has FDA approval (U.S. Food and Drug Administration) as a thymic stromal lymphopoietin (TSLP) blocker, human monoclonal antibody, for the add-on maintenance treatment of severe asthma attacks in adults and adolescents aged 12 years of age and older, to improve lung function.

Many patients living with severe asthma still experience frequent asthma exacerbations, an increased risk of hospitalization, and a reduced quality of life. Tezspire has the potential to address a broad population of severe asthma patients irrespective of biomarker limitations.

What doses of Tezspire are available?

Tezspire is available in injection form, in the following doses: 210 mg/1.91 mL solution in a single-dose glass vial, and 210 mg/1.91 mL solution in a single-dose pre-filled syringe.

Do not discontinue systemic or inhaled corticosteroids abruptly upon initiation of therapy with Tezspire. Decrease corticosteroids gradually. Please read the full prescribing information and always speak with your healthcare provider about any changes to your dose so they can monitor and evaluate your condition.

Tezspire active ingredients

Tezspire contains tezepelumab-ekko as the active ingredient. It works by blocking thymic stromal lymphopoietin (TSLP), a key epithelial cytokine that is involved in airway inflammation.

TSLP is released in response to triggers associated with asthma exacerbations, including allergens, viruses, and other airborne particles. Blocking TSLP may prevent the release of pro-inflammatory cytokines, helping to prevent asthma exacerbations and improve asthma control.

Tezspire side effects

The most common adverse reactions of Tezspire in clinical trials compared to placebo include:

  • Pharyngitis
  • Arthralgia
  • Back pain

In rare instances, Tezspire can cause more serious side effects. These can include:

  • Hypersensitivity reactions
  • Parasitic infection

Your doctor will assess the benefits of using Tezspire against your risk of adverse effects. Patients are encouraged to report negative side effects or adverse events of Tezspire to the FDA. Visit www.fda.gov/medwatch, or call 1-800-FDA-1088.

Tezspire drug interactions

Other drugs may interact with Tezspire, including prescription drugs and over-the-counter medicines, vitamins, and herbal products. Tell your health care provider about all of your medications including any supplements you are taking.

Tezspire contraindications

You should not use Tezspire if you:

  • Are allergic to the active ingredient tezepelumab-ekko
  • Are allergic to any of the other ingredients in Tezspire
  • Have recently had a live attenuated vaccination
  • Are pregnant or are planning to become pregnant – uncontrolled asthma increases the risk of complications in pregnancy. Asthma symptoms should be monitored and treatment adjusted to maintain optimal asthma control

Talk to your doctor before using Tezspire if you:

  • Are taking any of the medications that could interact with Tezspire
  • Are breastfeeding or are planning to breastfeed

Tezspire generic

Tezspire is the trademark brand name for tezepelumab-ekko manufactured by Amgen Inc. and AstraZeneca. A generic version of tezepelumab-ekko is not available. Generic drugs are generally cheaper than brand-name drugs, but you can still find Tezspire savings through NiceRx.
