What is Tudorza Pressair?
Tudorza Pressair (aclidinium bromide inhalation powder) is an FDA (U.S. Food and Drug Administration) approved medication manufactured by AstraZeneca. It is an anticholinergic bronchodilator indicated for the maintenance treatment of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). COPD is a long-term (chronic) lung disease that includes chronic bronchitis, emphysema, or both.
Tudorza Pressair is not a rescue inhaler and should not be used for treating sudden breathing problems. Your doctor may give you other medicine to use for sudden breathing problems.
What doses of Tudorza Pressair are available?
Tudorza Pressair is available in inhalation powder form. The multi-dose device is a dry powder inhaler metering 400 mcg of aclidinium bromide per actuation.
Tudorza Pressair is for oral inhalation only. One inhalation of Tudorza Pressair 400 mcg twice daily.

Tudorza Pressair side effects
The most common side effects of Tudorza Pressair in clinical trials compared to placebo include:
- Common cold symptoms, and cough
- Back pain, joint pain
- Hypertension (high blood pressure), congestive heart failure
- Muscle spasm
- Skin infection
- Gastroesophageal reflux disease

- Worsening of narrow-angle glaucoma – eye pain or discomfort, nausea or vomiting, blurred vision, seeing halos or bright colors around lights, or red eyes

- Immediate hypersensitivity reactions including angioedema, bronchospasm, or anaphylaxis
- Sudden breathing problems
- Serious allergic reactions – rash, hives, swelling of the face, lips, tongue, or throat, breathing problems, shortness of breath, and itching

Tudorza Pressair can interact with other medications. These include:
- Anticholinergics – may interact additively with concomitantly used anticholinergic medications
