How it works

  • Enroll online

Get started by filling out the online enrollment application to find out if you are eligible for assistance.

  • Pre-qualification

NiceRx verifies your eligibility for medication assistance and notifies you if you are pre-qualified. The pharmaceutical company provides your medication for free, and you only pay our service fee.

  • Submit documents

We will request documents to be submitted by you and your healthcare provider that are required by the pharmaceutical company to complete your enrollment.

  • Receive medication

Once approved, the pharmaceutical company typically ships a 90-day supply of medication to your home or healthcare provider’s address. Final acceptance is determined by the pharmaceutical company.

What is Valtoco?

Valtoco is an FDA (U.S. Food and Drug Administration) approved medication manufactured by Neurelis Inc. Valtoco is a benzodiazepine used for the acute treatment of intermittent, stereotypic episodes of frequent seizure activity (i.e., seizure clusters, acute repetitive seizures) that are distinct from a patient’s usual seizure pattern in patients with epilepsy 6 years of age and older.

What doses of Valtoco are available?

Valtoco is available as a nasal spray, in the following doses: 5 mg, 7.5 mg, or 10 mg of diazepam in 0.1 mL.

Valtoco is for intranasal use only. The dosage will depend on your age and weight. The first dose of Valtoco 5 mg and 10 mg doses are administered as a single spray intranasally into one nostril. Administration of 15 mg and 20 mg doses requires two nasal spray devices, one spray into each nostril.

A second dose may be administered at least 4 hours after the initial dose when required. Do not use more than 2 doses to treat a single episode, and do not use Valtoco to treat more than one episode every five days and no more than five episodes per month. You should limit dosages and durations to the minimum required. Do not stop using diazepam without speaking to your healthcare provider. You may have life-threatening withdrawal symptoms if you stop using the medicine suddenly.

Please see the full prescribing information and medication guide for the full drug information and instructions for use, and always speak with your caregiver for medical advice or about any changes to your dose so they can monitor and evaluate your condition.
