Pre-qualification
NiceRx verifies your eligibility for medication assistance and notifies you if you are pre-qualified. The pharmaceutical company provides your medication for free, and you only pay our service fee.
Submit documents
We will request documents to be submitted by you and your healthcare provider that are required by the pharmaceutical company to complete your enrollment.
Receive medication
Once approved, the pharmaceutical company typically ships a 90-day supply of medication to your home or healthcare provider’s address. Final acceptance is determined by the pharmaceutical company.

How do I apply for the Emgality patient assistance program?
Applying for the Emgality patient assistance program is easy with NiceRx. The enrollment application process begins with our online form. You will need to provide details about the medications you’re taking, including Emgality and information about your healthcare provider, your insurance plan, and your household income.
Once we determine you may be eligible for Emgality assistance, we’ll handle the full enrollment process for you. Once enrolled in the Emgality patient assistance program, we’ll also request your Emgality medication refills on your behalf for up to 12 months.
Is NiceRx an Emgality coupons provider?

How much is Emgality with insurance?

Emgality prices without insurance will vary depending on the dose and type you buy (120 mg or 300 mg pre-filled syringe or injection pen), and prices can also vary by retailer. As a guide, one 120 mg pre-filled syringe or injection pen can cost around $800.
What is Emgality?
Emgality is a prescription medicine given to adults to prevent migraines and to treat episodic cluster headaches. It’s a prescription medicine that can prevent you from having migraines and that can lessen the symptoms of cluster headaches.
You take Emgality by injecting it under your skin (subcutaneous injection) using either a pre-filled syringe or injection pen. You typically take one injection a month to keep your migraines at bay or inject it when a period of cluster headaches begins. Make sure you always take your Emgality as directed by the doctor who prescribes it to you.

Emgality active ingredients
The active ingredient in Emgality is called galcanezumab. It is a monoclonal antibody that helps to stop migraines from happening and helps to lessen episodic cluster headaches. Part of the process that brings migraines and cluster headaches is a widening and opening up of the blood vessels in your brain. This is caused by a substance your body naturally produces called calcitonin gene-related peptide (CGRP).
Emgality attaches to CGRP to stop it working. This prevents it from opening up your blood vessels and assists them to return to their normal size, which has been shown to help stop migraines and can reduce the symptoms of cluster headaches.
Emgality side effects & Emgality drug interactions
The most common side effects caused by Emgality include:
- Reactions at the site of injection, including swelling, redness, and pain
- Constipation
- Itching
- Rashes
- Vertigo (a feeling of dizziness or “spinning”)
In rare instances, Emgality can cause more serious side effects, including severe allergic reactions that can cause itching, rashes, hives, swelling of the face, mouth, tongue, and throat, and problems breathing.
Emgality can also interact with other medications. This can change how Emgality and the other medications work and can make some side effects more likely. Tell your prescribing physician about all drugs you’re taking, including vitamins, and herbal and dietary supplements.
Emgality warnings & precautions
Don’t take Emgality if you:
- Are allergic to the active ingredient galcanezumab
- Are allergic to any of the other ingredients in Emgality (you can find these listed in the leaflet which comes with the medication)
- Are under 18 years of age
Talk to your doctor before taking Emgality if you:
- Are taking any medications or supplements
- Have any other medical conditions
- Are pregnant or are planning to become pregnant
- Are breastfeeding or are planning to breastfeed

Enrollees enjoy a full-service solution, as NiceRx assists them and their physicians with the entire process. We prepare all required documents for the physician to sign, help enrollees manage all prescription refills, monitor eligibility criteria, and maintain enrollment.
**If you do not receive medications because you were determined to be ineligible for the prescription assistance by the applicable pharmaceutical companies and you have a letter of denial, we will refund any fees you paid toward medications for which you did not qualify to receive prescription assistance (“Refund”).
To receive a refund, you must send the letter of denial to us by fax to 888-517-7444, or by e-mail to [email protected] within 30 days of your receipt of such letter. The Refund is your sole and exclusive remedy for any fees you may wish to dispute.
