What is Jeuveau?

Jeuveau, also known as Newtox, is manufactured by Evolus, Inc. Both Botox cosmetic and Jeuveau contain the active ingredient botulinum toxin type A. Botox contains onabotulinumtoxinA and Jeuveau contains prabotulinumtoxinA. This is a neurotoxin that relaxes muscles beneath the skin. These types of cosmetic injections create a smoother appearance on the skin.

Jeuveau is an acetylcholine release inhibitor and a neuromuscular blocking agent with FDA approval for cosmetic use for the temporary improvement in the appearance of moderate to severe glabellar lines (facial wrinkles), frown lines, forehead lines, and crow’s feet in adult patients. Other areas are considered off-label and used at the doctor’s discretion.

What doses of Jeuveau are available?

Jeuveau is available in injection form, in the following doses: 100 Units of vacuum-dried powder in a single-dose vial.

Always speak with your dermatologist about any changes to your dose so they can monitor and evaluate your condition.
