  • Submit documents

We will request documents to be submitted by you and your healthcare provider that are required by the pharmaceutical company to complete your enrollment.

  • Receive medication

Once approved, the pharmaceutical company typically ships a 90-day supply of medication to your home or healthcare provider’s address. Final acceptance is determined by the pharmaceutical company.

Equetro active ingredients

Exactly how Equetro works in the body is not fully understood. Studies do show however it works on the sodium channels in the body. By blocking the sodium channels, synaptic transmission is decreased and also other neurotransmitters can not be released.

Equetro should be taken exactly as prescribed by your doctor. Do not crush or chew an extended-release Equetro capsule. If swallowing is a problem you may carefully open the extended-release capsule and sprinkle the medicine into a sweet pudding. Swallow right away without chewing. The mixture can not be saved for later use. Discard the empty capsule.

It may take up to 4 weeks before your symptoms improve. Call your doctor immediately if Equetro seems to stop working. It is important to know that you will have your blood tested on a regular basis while you are taking this medication. It is also important to avoid sunlight when taking carbamazepine as it could make you sunburn more easily. Cover up and use SPF (30 or above) when outdoors.
