Am I eligible for the Lyrica patient assistance program?

If you meet the eligibility criteria, you could receive your Lyrica medication without paying the full retail price. Each Lyrica assistance program application is reviewed individually by NiceRx. The main factors considered by most programs are:

  • I am a permanent, legal resident of the United States or Puerto Rico
  • I am uninsured or my insurance doesn’t cover my medication
  • I meet certain income eligibility requirements

How do I apply for the Lyrica patient assistance program?

NiceRx makes it easy to apply for the Lyrica patient assistance program. Fill in our online enrollment form, and tell us about any medications you’re taking, including Lyrica. We’ll also ask for details about your healthcare provider, your insurance, and your household income, as this information is required by the pharmaceutical manufacturers who ship your medication.

If we think you’re eligible for assistance, we’ll handle the application process and help to enroll you in the Lyrica patient assistance program. Once enrolled in the program, we’ll also request your Lyrica medication refills on your behalf for up to 1 year.

Is NiceRx a Lyrica coupon provider?

NiceRx is not a Lyrica discount coupon, a Lyrica discount card, or a Lyrica copay card. We don’t offer printable Lyrica manufacturer coupons, Lyrica discounts, rebates, Lyrica savings cards, trial offers, or free Lyrica samples.

NiceRx is a service provider that helps eligible individuals access the Lyrica patient assistance program. If you’re looking for coupons for Lyrica or cheap Lyrica, consider that you will likely save more with NiceRx. When obtaining your Lyrica medication through NiceRx, your total cost for the medication will always be $49 per month.

Can NiceRx help me get Lyrica if I have insurance?

We may be able to help if your insurance company won’t pay for your Lyrica medication, or you have a high copay or coinsurance responsibility. We may even be able to assist if you don’t have insurance.

How much is Lyrica with insurance?

The cost of Lyrica will vary by the healthcare plan. Your healthcare provider or pharmacist will be able to calculate your copay with your current insurance. Remember, if you’re approved for assistance, you’ll likely save more if you get your Lyrica medication through NiceRx.

How much is Lyrica without insurance?

Lyrica prices without insurance will vary depending on where you buy it. You can expect to pay around $120 to $150 for a pack of 30 capsules. With NiceRx you’ll always pay a flat monthly fee of $49.

What is Lyrica?

Lyrica is a medicine prescribed to adults over 18 years of age to treat:

  • Pain from damaged nerves caused by a spinal cord injury, diabetes, or shingles (herpes zoster)
  • Fibromyalgia (pain all over your body)
  • Partial seizure epilepsy (seizures that begin in one hemisphere of the brain) alongside other epilepsy medication
  • General anxiety disorder

The medication helps with these conditions as it affects processes in your central nervous system (brain and spinal cord). It slows down the impulses that can cause epilepsy, it disrupts pain signals, and it can reduce the symptoms of anxiety disorders. Lyrica is taken orally, usually as a capsule or an oral solution.

Lyrica active ingredients

The active ingredient in Lyrica is called pregabalin. Once swallowed, pregabalin is absorbed into your bloodstream through your intestines. It travels in your blood to your brain, where it passes into your central nervous system.

Pregabalin then acts as a central nervous system depressant. This means it reduces the number of signals that pass through your brain and spinal cord. This dampening effect can alleviate the symptoms of anxiety, interrupt the passage of pain signals, and reduce the brain activity that can trigger epileptic seizures.

Lyrica side effects & Lyrica drug interactions

The most common Lyrica side effects include a dry mouth, dizziness, drowsiness, trouble concentrating, blurred vision, weight gain, and swelling of your hands and feet. In rarer cases, Lyrica can cause more serious side effects like dry mouth, muscle pain and weakness, dizziness, difficulty concentrating, constipation, and eyesight changes like blurring or loss of vision. If you experience any visual side effects, talk to your physician immediately.

Lyrica can cause an increase in suicidal thoughts in a small percentage of people (roughly 1 in 500 people). If you feel you’re thinking more about suicide, or if you experience an increase in depression symptoms, contact a healthcare professional immediately.

Don’t stop taking Lyrica without talking to your physician first, as stopping suddenly can cause certain side effects to increase. If you’d like to stop taking Lyrica, talk to your physician about reducing your dose gradually.

Some Lyrica side effects can impair your ability to drive or use machinery. Don’t drive, use machinery, or engage in other dangerous activities until you’re confident you know how Lyrica affects you.

Lyrica can interact with other medications. This can change how it and the other medications work and can make side effects more likely. Tell your prescribing physician about all drugs you’re taking, including vitamins and dietary supplements.

In particular, tell them if you’re taking:

  • Angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitors
  • Diabetes medications Avandia (rosiglitazone), Avandamet (contains rosiglitazone and metformin), or Actos (pioglitazone)
  • Any tranquilizers
  • Any narcotic pain medicines, like oxycodone
  • Any medications for anxiety, like lorazepam
  • Any medications that make you feel sleepy

Don’t drink alcohol when taking Lyrica, as alcohol can make some side effects worse, like dizziness and drowsiness.

Lyrica warnings & precautions

Don’t take Lyrica if you:

  • Are allergic to the active ingredient pregabalin
  • Are allergic to any of the other ingredients found in Lyrica (listed in the leaflet which comes with the medication)
  • Are under 18 years of age

Talk to your physician before taking Lyrica if you:

  • Have a heart condition or a history of heart disease
  • Have kidney problems or are on dialysis
  • Have a bleeding problem
  • Have diabetes
  • Have ever had angioedema (swelling of your face, mouth, tongue, lips, gums, neck, or throat)
  • Are pregnant or breastfeeding
  • Plan to father a child (there may be a risk that Lyrica can reduce fertility or cause birth defects)
  • Are over 65 years of age

*Qualifying persons may obtain medications directly from patient assistance programs without any out-of-pocket cost (or for less than $49 per medication). However, our monthly flat rate of just $49 per medication spares you the hassle of tracking down the different programs and filling out all the required paperwork for each program.

Enrollees enjoy a full-service solution, as NiceRx assists them and their physicians with the entire process. We prepare all required documents for the physician to sign, help enrollees manage all prescription refills, monitor eligibility criteria, and maintain enrollment.

**If you do not receive medications because you were determined to be ineligible for the prescription assistance by the applicable pharmaceutical companies and you have a letter of denial, we will refund any fees you paid toward medications for which you did not qualify to receive prescription assistance (“Refund”).

To receive a refund, you must send the letter of denial to us by fax to 888-517-7444, or by e-mail to [email protected] within 30 days of your receipt of such letter. The Refund is your sole and exclusive remedy for any fees you may wish to dispute.
