How it works

  • Enroll online

Get started by filling out the online enrollment application to find out if you are eligible for assistance.

  • Pre-qualification

NiceRx verifies your eligibility for medication assistance and notifies you if you are pre-qualified. The pharmaceutical company provides your medication for free, and you only pay our service fee.

  • Submit documents

We will request documents to be submitted by you and your healthcare provider that are required by the pharmaceutical company to complete your enrollment.

  • Receive medication

Once approved, the pharmaceutical company typically ships a 90-day supply of medication to your home or healthcare provider’s address. Final acceptance is determined by the pharmaceutical company.

Am I eligible for Perjeta patient assistance?

We review each Perjeta enrollment application individually to determine if you are eligible. Each assistance program has its own eligibility criteria and the factors considered by most programs are:

  • I am a permanent, legal resident of the United States or Puerto Rico
  • I am uninsured or my insurance doesn’t cover my medication
  • I meet certain income eligibility requirements

How do I apply for the Perjeta patient assistance program?

Our process makes it as easy as possible to apply for the Perjeta patient assistance program. Begin by completing the enrollment application form on our website. Tell us about any medications that you are taking, including Perjeta. You must also provide details about your healthcare provider, your insurance plan, and your household income. This is required by the pharmaceutical manufacturers who will supply the medication, so it is important to make sure this information is accurate and up to date.

We will review the information that you have provided to determine whether you are eligible for patient assistance. If we can pre-qualify you for assistance, NiceRx will handle the full enrollment process on your behalf. If you are approved by the pharmaceutical company, you will typically start receiving your medication in 6 – 8 weeks.

We do not offer Perjeta manufacturer coupons, Perjeta discounts, rebates, Perjeta savings cards, trial offers, or free Perjeta samples. What is Perjeta?

Perjeta contains the prescription medicine pertuzumab and is used for the treatment of cancer. Perjeta is used to treat metastatic breast cancer (MBC), which is breast cancer that has spread to other parts of the body. Treatment is given in combination with trastuzumab and docetaxel as this improves the ability of Perjeta to fight the cancer. Perjeta can also be used in combination with these medicines to treat early breast cancer.

Perjeta is given directly into a vein as an infusion, this will be done by your doctor or healthcare professional. The infusion is normally given once every 3 weeks. Your doctor will decide the exact dose you will take.

Your heart function will need to be monitored before and during treatment with Perjeta as it can cause serious heart problems. You should not use Perjeta if you are pregnant as it can cause birth defects or death to your unborn baby. You are advised to not get pregnant when using Perjeta and for at least 7 months after you stop taking it.

Perjeta active ingredients

Pertuzumab is classed as a recombinant humanized monoclonal antibody, meaning it is grown from animal cells, but changed using recombinant DNA technology to be suitable for human use.

Pertuzumab works by blocking what is known as the HER2 (human epidermal growth factor) receptor from interacting with specific proteins that would normally attach themselves to it. Through a process of chemical signals in your body, this leads to cell death, helping to get rid of unwanted abnormal cells in your body.

Also, pertuzumab itself is known to coat the target cancer cells. Certain white blood cells then bind to these antibodies on the surface and release toxins into the cancer cell helping to kill it. This is known as antibody-dependent cell mediated cytotoxicity, (ADCC).
