Body Roundness Index Calculator
Body Roundness Index uses height and waist only, a newer alternative to BMI that reflects central fat.
Calculate your Body Roundness Index

Disclaimer: Body Roundness Index uses height and waist only and is a newer, less-established measure than BMI or waist-to-hip ratio. It also can't tell you whether you're eligible for any NiceRx treatment. Only a licensed provider can, after reviewing your health history.
What is Body Roundness Index?
Body Roundness Index estimates body shape from height and waist circumference, modelling the body as an ellipse. It was developed to capture abdominal fat better than BMI, which cannot see where weight is carried.
How to read your result
BRI typically ranges from about 1 to 16; most adults fall between 3 and 7. Higher values indicate a rounder shape and more central fat. Like WHR, a downward trend during weight loss is meaningful even when weight itself plateaus.
Limitations
BRI is newer than BMI and reference ranges are still being established across populations. It depends on an accurate waist measurement. Use it alongside, not instead of, other measures and your provider's assessment.
